Italy is one of the top destinations in the world

for weddings and elopements!

And this is easy to understand the reason: it’s an incredible country!

As a wedding photographer, I’m incredibly lucky to travel and visit a lot of amazing locations in the country of the Dolce Vita.

Maybe you are considering an elopement… Welcome, elopements are fab. Maybe this is a « plan B » because you had to postpone or cancel your big wedding. Or maybe during the planning, you understood that you don’t want the stress of a big wedding at home with 350 guests. Maybe you dream to organize something really personal because you met in Italy. Or maybe you’ve been married before and you want to live a different experience. Maybe you just want to enjoy together a simple intimate and personal moment, breathtaking views and delicious food & wine.

Every story is unique. But let me tell you something: eloping is always a great idea. It’s really easy to organize, even on last minute. Amalfi Coast, Positano, Sorrento, Capri, Tuscany, Florence, Val d’Orcia, Rome, Sicily, Venice… Italy is full of incredible spots to shoot elopement photos and live an exciting day together Should I add something about food, wine & gelato? 1. Rome the eternal city

Rome is a perfect city to get married in Italy! It has so much to offer if you want to elope or have an intimate wedding as well. Of course, you have the main attractions, famous around the World: Colosseum, Piazza Navona, Trevi Foutain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Villa Borghese… so many amazing locations to have wedding pictures. But Rome is so much more. I love this feeling of the Dolce Vita in the small streets behind the Pantheon and I have all my favorite spots to have candid shots and enjoy the best gelato in town with my couples. You can add the video to all my packages. From my experience, couples are very happy to have a video of the day, especially when they elope without family or guests. Positano on video is unforgettable (especially with the stunning drone shots). I’m happy to collaborate with the great videographer Umberto Atterga. 2. Venice the serenissima

OMG I have to tell you the truth about Venice: there’s nothing like the Serenissima. getting married/eloping in Venezia is such a unique and exciting experience. This city is crazy. This is one of the most special and romantic place in the world to elope. Of course a gondola ride is a fab idea to shoot pictures on hidden small canals and avoid crowd of tourists. You have many options. LEgal wedding at Palazzo Cavalli next to the Rialto bridge or symbolic ceremony in a garden or a terrace overlooking the grand Canal. Venice is magic. 3. Positano

You like amazing backdrop, the sea, the colors on small houses under the hill? Ok, this is the right place for you! Positano is really one of my fav place in Italy for eloping. Theres’ everything you can dream, and much more. An elopement in Positano is an unforgettable experience. I had fab elopements in the best hotels and amazing locations like Villa Magia, Marincanto, Villa Boheme, Rada, Hotel Murat etc. You will find many elopements in Positano here and also a full long post about Positano that I wrote with many informations to help you :  here  and here too for 2024 elopements in Positano.

4. Capri

Capri is a lovely idea for an elopement! I love that you have many options for a symbolic ceremony. Always with the view on the sea as on an island, it’s everywhere and offers incredible seesights. I love the atmosphere that you feel on an island, it’s really different. Of course, you will enjoy the luxury style in the streets of Capri with the famous international brands shops, sophisticated hotels and villas like my fav on the island The Caesar Augustus with the stunning terraces and magical views especially at sunset. But the island has much more to offer. Especially in Anacapri on the other side of the island, where you will be in the middle of the daily life of the people. Contact me for more info!

5. Lake Como

I’m sure that you heard about lake Como and especially Villa Balbianello in Lenno (featured in Star Wars and James Bond) a fabulous venue for elopements or a destination weddings. Eloping on one of the lake of north italy is really an interesting experience and many hotels and villas are perfect to live a special day: Villa Monastero Botanical Garden, Villa Carlotta, Villa d’Este, Grand Hotel Tremezzo, Mandarin Oriental Como…

A boat ride is the most stunning way to enjoy the magical beauty of the lake!

6. Apulia

My father’s family is from Apulia so I’m super in love about this area in Italy. The light is incredible, La puglia is a wonderful land of good food and great culture. Many spots are perfect for eloping, in different style, on the seaside or in the countryside, in a Masseria in the middle of olive trees or in a Trulli! In the Gargano, Monopoli, Ostuni, Polignano a Mare, Alberobello… Try the Apulia, you will love it.

7.  Tuscany

Well, everyone agrees about it: Tuscany is one of the most fabulous area in Italy (and in the world). And of course, it is perfect for eloping. In the middle of vineyards, in a medieval small town, on roads lined with cypresses, in the beautiful Florence, with the perfection of its architecture, the iconical Ponte Vecchio and the unique view on the city from the hills. My fav hotel in Florence is the Four Seasons, OMG so perfect with the stunning gardens but the city is rich of incredible locations and gardens, perfect for an elopement.
