The first time I saw Venice, it was maybe 14 years ago, I don’t really remember. It was not for my job, at that time I was still working in Paris as a journalist. It was a short trip, just for myself because I was curious about the Serenissima. I’ve been amazed by its incredible beauty. Avoiding masses of tourists and chinese fake Murano glass souvenir shops.

Many times I got lost, many times I found myself in a maze of identical and tangled alleys, where there were only the silence and the lapping of canal water on the buildings. I spoke with Venetian artisans who told me how hard it was to survive, how expensive and crazy was daily life because of the hysteria of mass tourism. 

Venice is an amazing idea for an elopement. Incredible scenery everywhere, the magic of the Grand Canal, the colors on the water, the warm tones of the palazzi and beautitful luxury hotels to enjoy a unforgeattable experience.
